The next scheduled elections to take place in Cheltenham will be the borough elections taking place on Thursday 5 May 2022.
Parish elections are uncontested and are no longer part of the election process for 5 May.
Cheltenham residents wishing to vote, who are not yet registered, need to register to vote online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote by Thursday 14 April 2022.
Registering to vote is easy to do and only takes a few minutes online (you will need your National Insurance number when registering).
Residents who are registered should now have received their poll cards; if residents haven’t received a poll card, they can check by calling 01242 262626.
Anyone wishing to have a postal vote, postal proxy or to make changes to an existing postal vote for the elections on Thursday 5 May must return their application form by 5pm on 19 April.
Residents wishing to apply for a proxy vote (except for emergency proxies) should return their application form by 5pm Tuesday 26 April. A proxy vote is having someone vote on your behalf.
For more information, visit www.cheltenham.gov.uk/elections  or telephone: 01242 262626, or email [email protected].
Please check your poll card for your allocated polling station or use our online map: www.cheltenham.gov.uk/polling-station-map.
Notes: An uncontested election is an election in which the number of candidates is the same or less than the number of places available for election, so all candidates are duly elected.
